Lauantaina päätin suunnistaa kaupungille sateesta huolimatta.
Despite the rain I decided to head to the downtown on Saturday.
Google Earthista bongailin joitain kuvia ja päätin suunnistaa Kyrkbackenille. Paikka näytti hauskalta vanhemmalta kaupunginosalta.
I spotted few pictures about Kyrkbacken in Google Earth and I decided to go there. The place looked like an old town.
A house on the corner of Rudbecksgatan and Vasagatan. I admire the house every morning from the buss.
I saw these colorfull houses on the first street, Gåsmyregatan
Views on the crossroad of the Rektorsgatan ja Skvallegranden
Aikani haahuiltua päädyin Kungsgatanille, joka kätki monenlaista kivaa koko pienen kadun mittaansa.
After a while I ended up to Kungsgatan, which hides a lot of fun things althought it is a short street.

Bakery where I didn't go this time
A fantastic café where I take my guests. The prices aren't that high either.
Hehee, kahvilan vieressä oli paikallinen lankakauppa Upplings Garn & Mode. Pitihän siellä käydä kääntymässä. Kauppa myy pääasiassa Garnstudion lankoja. Okei, myönnetään, että mukaan tarttui langat Vihervaara-paitaan.
Hih, the local yarn shop Upplings Garn & Mode locates next to the café. Of course, I had to drop in. The shop sells mainly the yarns of Garnstudio. Ok, I bought yarns for the Vihervaara sweater.

After the shopping moment, I head to the castle of Västerås. There was exhibitions about graffito in Västerås and pictures took during the night by Hans Alenius. And the best part was that there was free entry to the exhibitions. The castle is not that big.
Koska ulkona oli sateinen ilma, suuntasin joen toiselle puolelle taidemuseoon.
Because it was raining, I head to other side of the river to Västerås art museum.
An exhibition was called Typ konst! You can play different "instruments" and one room contained handicraft stuff. There was knitted skirt, doll made from yarns etc. In other rooms you can draw what you like and walk around in a little house.

The Västerås downtown. The local skyscraper in the last picture.
