Meillä on työkaverini kanssa oma kielikylpyryhmä, jossa kerromme toisillemme suomesta tai ruotsista uusia juttuja. Olen tässä asetelmassa etulyöntiasemassa, koska olen opiskellut kieltä "muutaman" vuoden. Jonkinmoisesta muistinvirkistyksestä on kyse.
We have our own language course with my co-worker. I try to teach her some finnish and she tries to teach swedish grammar for me. This is easier for me, because there are not so many new things. I just have forgotten almost everything.

Suomessa on myös tärkeää huomata sanoa tuplakonsonantit ja -vokaalit oikein. Esimerkiksi sanan aalto kohdalla, työkaverini lausui sen "altto". Aalto ja altton ovat eri asioita. Tässä kohtaa meitä auttoi Alvar Aalto :) Siirryimme puhumaan tuplakonsonanteista, esimerkkinä "kuka" ja "kukka".
In finnish, it's important that you pronounce the double consonants and long vowels correctly. For example, my co.worker pronounced the word "aalto" [aalto] like "altto" [alt:o]. Now the meaning is something doing with the music and the original meaning is wave. Alvar Aalto helped us to pronounce the word correctly. Other thing is double consonants. For example, words "kuka" [kuka] and "kukka" [kuk:a]. "Kuka" means who and "kukka" means flower". And someone can correct me with phoenetic marks.
